The spacious Grand Sierra Resort and Casino is BLFC’s host hotel.
Booking a Room
Access code is “blfc2023”
When booking a room:
- Use the password “blfc2023” when asked for an access code.
- You can book only one room.
- The hotel charges a one-night deposit when you book your room. This deposit is refunded if you cancel more than 48 hours before check-in.
- If you can’t find the dates or room type you want, remove nights or change room types until you can book something, then call 1-800-648-5080 to request changes.
- There are no rooms left for Saturday October 28th. Note the con starts on Monday October 30th. Try starting with a check-in date of October 30th, and then add the 29th to see if the room type you want is still available.

Booking requirements
- You must be registered for the convention before you can book a room
- The person reserving the room must be at least 21 years of age
Change existing reservation
When completed, you will receive an email from hotel@goblfc.org confirming your reservation. This email will contain a link to modify your reservation directly. Do not share this link with anyone!
After October 1st, you will need to call 1-800-648-5080 to make changes.
GSR Room Types
New for 2023: We have an extremely limited number of suites in our room block. Upgrades are first come, first serve. To book a suite, book an ordinary room via Passkey, then call 1-800-648-5080 to request a suite upgrade.
Standard rooms
New this year: Prices are the same for all sections (Sierra/Summit/Vista) of the hotel.
- Queen / Queen Deluxe rooms (2 beds) are $155 per night*
- King / King Deluxe rooms (1 bed) are $138 per night*
- Queen and King rooms offer 448 square feet of space
- Queen Deluxe and King Deluxe rooms offer 558 square feet of space
“Deluxe” rooms are about 25% larger and have a couch. The couches in King Deluxe rooms contain a fold-out bed, and so still can sleep 4 people, albeit less comfortably. Consider a King Deluxe if Queens are sold out and you need space for 4.

Fees
The prices above include the following fees and taxes:
- Resort Fee of $34.95/night
- The GSR charges this fee in addition to your room rate, which pays for the airport shuttle, parking, pool, gym, internet, and free bottled water.
- Tourism Fee of $2/night
- This fee is mandated by the City of Reno Tourism Board for all hotels, instituted in 2015.
- 13% tax applies to the room rates and resort fee.
All rooms in our block allow a maximum of 4 guests at no extra charge.
Debit Card Users
Debit cards are not recommended for check-in, but can be used. Several hundred dollars will be temporarily charged for incidentals and may take up to 10 days after check-out to be released back to your bank account (your bank controls this timeframe, not the hotel). Tip: You can access the money in this temporary charge by charging food and other items to your room.
Check-In/Check-Out
Check in is at 3PM; check out is at 11AM.
If an attendee booked within the room block checks out prior to the end of their booked reservation, the GSR will charge an early departure fee of $50.
Room requests on your Mobile phone
When you check in to the GSR, you can also provide a mobile phone number you can use for room requests, such as asking for towels or extra housekeeping requests.
GSR RV Park Rates
- Premium 30/50 Amp pull-through (front lot): $97 per night Sun-Thurs
- 50 Amp pull-through: $91 per night Sun-Thurs
- 30 Amp pull-through: $86 per night Sun-Thurs
- 30/40 foot back-in: $80 per night Sun-Thurs
- Friday and Saturday are available for $11 extra.
The prices above include the following fees and taxes:
- Resort Fee of $19.95/night
- Tourism Fee of $2/night
- 13% tax applies to the rental rates and resort fee.
To book a slip in the RV Park, please call the GSR at 1-800-648-5080 and mention the group code RVFRCON. Slip reservations are first come, first served.
Check in is at Noon (12PM), check out is at 11AM.
Trailer Requirements
Travel Trailers over 10 years of age and Motorhomes and Fifth Wheel RVs over 20 years of age must have RV Park approval before arrival. Please refer to this document for further details.
FAQ
How can I book more days?
First, book whatever dates you can. Next, call 1-800-648-5080 to request the additional days you need.
Will the con get more rooms?
We already have all the rooms we can get and have a vast majority of the hotel. The hotel always reserves some rooms for contract obligations and high-roller guests. Overflow hotels with shuttle service are actively being negotiated and considered.
Why did I get an email telling me extra people are $30 per night?
Automated systems may send you an email with this message. If you booked in our convention block, this fee is waived. If you booked off-block, this fee applies to you.
How can I avoid elevators?
You can request a smoking room to be placed on the 1st floor, which is now the only smoking floor in the hotel.
How can I room next to my friends?
After booking online, just call 1-800-648-5080, ask to be placed together, and provide your confirmation numbers.
Can I use marijuana?
No. The hotel does not allow consumption or possession of marijuana on-property, in hotel rooms, or even in your car in the parking lot.
What’s the best way to bring in my luggage from my car?
You may not use the front entrance as a loading zone, and you may not use the bell carts. Please park in self-parking, and then hand carry your luggage to your room. We recommend bringing your own folding cart. Or, you can park in the front entrance, and let the valet parking staff and bell staff move your car and luggage. Make sure to carry some cash for tips.
